Regarding the comment of the Pump
![]() | Larry (20.02.2009 09:40) And to answer your other question, the pump is hung about three feet down in a cistern that collects water from the barn roof. The total depth of the cistern is 5 feet, it holds about 2200 gallons of water. The system is designed so the pump is pushing water up hill about 20 – 30 feet to a holding tank that supplies a water trough for horses by gravity feed. In the past the system worked flawlessly and for many years without maintenance. |
![]() | AM (20.02.2009 09:24) I use mine in a PVC (plastic) pipe in the ground and drop the cylinder down to pump the water to a tank. I will keep in touch and you as well. If you ever need a suggestion on comment let me know. You are the only one that is doing this on a practical/economical level. DO NOT SELL OUT or let anyone change or take this wonderful idea/invention away from you. If you ever think of giving up-PLEASE talk to me first. This is a gift to those around the world who cannot afford a big expense in pumping water. Best regards from IOWA.USA Anna Mary R |
