A1, Why do you need a solar pump?
Just imagine the supply of water with no running costs and no unsightly or dangerous cables; a pump which takes only minutes to install, and which boosts the oxygen in your well; a really attractive feature for your garden at a competitive price. You've just imagined a solar well pump, which is constructed for supply the water to the activation of pond water and swimming pool water, without shifting to 240 or 110 V AC voltage. A2, What is Solar Power?

A4, Does the panel need to be right beside the well?
No, within reason the panel can be anywhere up to 20 meters/ 60 feet away from the well or anywhere you need the water.
A5, Is it better than a mains pump?
Yes, it's much simpler. You don't need to bury armored cable. You don't need timers or circuit breakers and there is no chance of getting electrocuted. You just put the pump in the water; point the panel toward the sun; plug them together - and that's it! It's also very portable, so if you have another water feature at the other end of your garden or you move to a new house, the solar well pump is really easy to move.
B1, How man I get more water?
As point 9 in the instruction manual, the following technical arrangements can improve the operation decisively:
1* Take a 30-40 cm long piece of a elastical tube made of silicone or rubber, inner diameter of 10 mm and a thickness of 3-4 mm. Connect the one end with the water outflow of the pump and the other end with water tube. Then stick this connection to the rope. Finished!
2* The elastical tube, two o-rings and the transtition between the two tubes can be delivered as a option, but can also be easily find in home market.
B2, Will it be OK in winter?
Yes, as long as it's not freezing in the well, works the pump still. kepp only the outway of water not to freezing. you get water also in the winther.
B3. Can the pump run in a high temperature water?
The application haven't been tested yet. Some dealers have already used this pump on open solar thermal systems for water supply. As long as the circulating water temperature is not over 60 degrees and the difference of the daily's temperature between hot and cold water is not over 40 degree, there is no problem.
B4. Can the pump be used in irrigation for farming?
Our pumps are a low-flow type for the private home sector, not for water supply in field. But it is possible to connect it with a drip irrigation system for irrigating small gardens or fields, depending on the plant sort, sun intensity and the deepness of the waterlevel.
B5. What could be a problem for end-users?
First, the greatest problem is that consumers do not know how to install the pump in a correct way. A supermarket distribution was not a very effective place to sell the pump, because it did not offer the knowledge and service of expert shop. For example, which solar panel suits best for the different needs of the consumers?
Second: The solar pump has been conceived for permanent operation and can be put into operation through out the whole year. If the solar pump after having been put into operation, is not being in the water for a longer period (longer than one week) or it is being stored or break down no matter why. Customer have to put out the pump and clear it.
B6. Hours flow vs. total height (liters/hours vs. meters)
The strong point of the pump is that it runs even on cloudy days, not only on clear sunny sky. Therefore we have three situations of the height of water / pumping capacity :
full sunshine = 750 mA solar current
a few clouds = 450 mA solar current
it is hazy = 250 mA solar current
With option LJ02-10 or LJ02-20, the pump can supply water even in hazy weather. But most of the small solar pump with circle motor have problems on hazy days, which is the most important reason why most solar pumps have limited use.
B7. What is the type of motor-DC? Is it brushed or brushless?
This is a piston pump, which inhabits only three moving parts. A Electro-box with a 11 meter cable (22 meter cabel for type LJ20) is already connected to the pump, which is a convenience to the customer.
B8. How is the motor rating watts?

B9. Are there any pump type-centrifugal positive displacements?
No.
B10. Does it need batteries?
No. This pump can not run with batteries. The electronic part of the pump is constructed to run with a small solar current -the pump starts up at 30 mA solar current- in the sense of using environmental energy. The battery delivers a very strong current too fast, which would damage the pump immediately. If it is necessary, a option can be purchased for the pump enabling the usage of batteries. But unfortunately, it is not able to withstand harsh environmental conditions.
B11. What are the pump's dimensions?
The pump is only 37 cms long with a diameter of 5,5 cm. With 11 meter cable (22 meter for type LJ20), its weight is ca 5,2 kg. For shipment: 2 pumps for are contained in one carton.
B12. How is the ability of pump to handle particles in water?
The solar pump cannot be used for any transportation of mud or salt water. In case of recently installed wells, it is necessary to wait until the water clears up. If the transporting water (operation in a river or a lake), it is recommended to attach a simple filter of foam rubber in front of the openings of the solar pump.
B13. Would we be able to get a sample for evaluation?
Yes, of course. We shall be glad to supply one sample. If you agree with it, we will send you an Order-Form for payment with Master card. After filling put, send it back to us. We will do all necessary procedure for it.
B14. Is it possible to turn on and off the pump on a frequent basis without damaging it?
The pump works automatically with sunlight. Usually, there is no need to turn it on and off. The water supply depends on the intensity of sunlight. But, turning on and off frequently will not do any damage to the pump.
B15. How long is the pump able to dry operate without damage?
The solar pump is not sensitive to any dry operation for hours without being damaged.
B16. Is there any "sand" problem?
No, the pump is not strong enough to suck sand in the water. But in case of recently drilled wells, the well water needs some time to clear up. If the transported water is not always clear, (operation in a river or a lake), it is recommended to attach a simple filter of foam rubber in front of the openings of the solar pump.
